Top card: Jan. 1931 at Minnie's house
Bottom card: Feb. 20 1930 at Juanita's apt. 540 Stockton St. S.F.
Acquired this past weekend from a sale where the family lived in the same house for 100 yrs. It was an old smallish Victorian home that was once surrounded by artichoke fields. The artichoke fields have since been replaced with homes and apartment buildings dating from the early 1900's to 1970's and 2 blocks away there is a freeway with a shopping mall on the other side. Which used to be a racetrack.

The Tanforan racetrack acted as a WWII Interment Camp for the Japanese during 1942. On April 17, 1937 Seabiscuit won the Marchbank Handicap Race with a time of 1:48 4/5 sec.
I have scanned these into my computer and I plan on printing them and using them for gift tags. Actually should have bought the entire box to use them as tree ornaments. I will be posting more this week.
